There are many perks to freelancing, but managing your own admin and accounts isn’t one of them. That’s why FreelanceDiary has built the first true Automated Invoicing tool for freelancers. It raises invoices, with all the booking details populated, automatically.
How Automated Invoicing Works
FreelanceDiary is built around a Calendar that’s designed specifically for managing your clients and freelance work. When you add a booking to your Calendar or receive one directly from a client, you can rase an invoice from that booking with just one click.
Step 1: Select ‘Create Invoice’
By selecting ‘Invoices’ in the menu, you will be taken to your Invoice dashboard, which displays invoices that you previously created. To raise an invoice, select the yellow ‘Create Invoice/Estimate’ button at the top of that page.
Step 2: Select Your Confirmed Booking
You will now see a page that displays all of your FreelanceDiary bookings that are in your Calendar. Ticking the green ‘Confirmed’ booking will enable you to raise an invoice or ticking a purple ‘Pending’ booking will enable you to raise an Estimate. If you haven’t previously added the booking to your Calendar, you can add it by selecting the grey ‘Add Booking’ button. Once you have ticked the booking that you want to raise an invoice from, select ‘Create Invoice’ at the bottom.
Step 3: View Complete Invoice
An invoice will be created with all your client and booking details automatically populated. On this page, you have the option to edit the basic invoice details and change the invoice design and colour. Please note: to change the bookings details (such as the dates and rates), you will need to edit the original booking and then create a new invoice; there are several benefits that linking invoices to bookings offers, as you will discover throughout you booking, management and payment journey.
